Do you think sugar is more harmful than cannabis? I do…but read on and see what a recent pool found out. A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released this morning has found that Americans find tobacco, alcohol and sugar to be more harmful than cannabis. “When Americans were asked their opinion on the most harmful of four substances, tobacco (49%) and alcohol (24%) came in first and second place, followed by sugar (15%) and marijuana”, says the Wall Street Journal. “Only 8% said marijuana was the most harmful substance.” The poll also found that young adults are following the news regarding cannabis legalization more than news about Obamacare, the Ukraine or same-s** marriage. “The poll found 57% of adults between 18 and 35 years old have “seen, read or heard a lot” of news about marijuana, compared to 44% who were well-informed about Obamacare, 39% about Russia sending troops into the Ukraine and 34% about courts overturning bans on gay marriage.” These results mark the first time a poll has found that Americans find cannabis to be less harmful than sugar.
